Dirk Nowitzki gave high praise to young Mavs, Luka Doncic and Dennis Smith Jr. The all-time great said, “the sky is the limit” for both, and is looking forward to seeing the two grow alongside each other for years to come. With Nowitzki’s career coming close to an end Mark Cuban and the Mavs front office have made it priority to surround him with better talent.

If Doncic and Smith can exceed expectations the Mavs have a great chance to be a playoff team in a competitive western conference. The two have the potential to be the greatest back court in Dallas’ history, but they must mature quick. Cuban has made it known that it’s a win now mindset for the Mavericks and with these two talented young prospects the Mavs are taking the right steps.
